Holi Essay : Colours, gujiyas and fun…I love Holi such a lot
Holi happens to be my favourite festival. I particularly enjoy the color a part of it. I keep stocks of each colour but red happens to be my favourite. the opposite ones specially, the purple is one I hate to use on Holi. It never goes and makes one look so bad.
I also enjoy preparing gujiyas with my mother and sisters. My mother keep frying them within the pan, while we sisters do the rolling, cutting and filling a part of it. My favourite job is to try to to the filling which provides me an opportunity to stay stealing the tasty khoya which is filled with dry fruits. Eating the gujiyas – piping hot even as they are available out of pan is that the other most cherished moment of the festival. – Holi Essay
I also lookout to stay my preparation for the festival ready. Like choose some old and faded jeans and a shirt i’m bored off besides taking care of the oiling and creaming a part of it. Otherwise, the aftermath of the Holi festival might be extremely tiresome.
I have also had a nasty experience after Holi once once I got such a lot engrossed in twiddling with the color that I became to late to urge a shower and therefore the cistern got exhausted. I had to attend for hours drenched the water before the water system was restored. it had been a really painful lesson that I learnt – take a shower on time.
I particularly enjoy the festival within the company of friends and relatives, i.e. when there are lot of individuals to be coloured. the thrill is unmatched when everybody loves the festival the maximum amount as you are doing .
A memorable Holi
Oh what fun we had on the Holi that year. The tradition followed was digging the lawn generating some mud, throwing some buckets of water then the prey. Then everybody decided that we’ve grown up enough to possess our first doze of bhang. A thandai was prepared, somebody had stored a touch milk from the morning breakfast. There was one very enthusiastic girl who sneaked within the maximum share. High on the spirit of the festival we had the mandatory dance on the Rang Barse bheege chunar wali….

After a while she suddenly started laughing and didn’t stopped even after repeated attempts to prevent her from doing so. Her body started aching but she couldn’t control her laughter. Then all of a sudden she started crying then again couldn’t stop… She got the type of high she never expected.
Although i can not remember her name, i can not forget what fun we had at her expense. I owe an enormous many thanks to her for creating that Holi so memorable in my life.
Holi-The festival of affection and joy
Holi may be a festival of colors which generally falls on a full-of-the-moon in March.. it’s also a festival of affection and unity and celebrates the triumph of excellent over evil. The festival is widely known with lot of pomp in north India.

There are many legends given because the reasons for celebrating holi. way back there was a king named Hiranyakashyapu, he had a son, Prahlad – a Holy Ghost and highly dedicated to God. But Prahlad’s devotion enraged Hiranyakashyapu and he planned to kill his own son. He asked her sister Holika, who was resistant to fire, to take a seat in fire taking Prahlad in her lap. Fortunately Prahlad, who was blessed by Lord, was saved and Holika was burnt to ashes. This gave birth to the festival of holi.
Another legend speaks of the everlasting love between Radha and Krishna. The legend is widely known with great pomp and show.
All hearts are lighted with glory and other people everywhere enjoy with their near and dear ones with different colours. People also throw water balloons on one another and on passer-by too. Many also are drenched coloured water. Hours travel by throwing colours on one another and it seems as if it’s just the beginning of the day.
It’s a festival of gaiety on the other hand there are few who make this festival, a festival of evil. they are doing this by infuriating the strangers by forcefully throwing colours on them; some use colours that are difficult to get rid of and unsafe for skin and health. Many take it as each day of drinking alcohol but we should always not forget that Holi may be a festival of triumph of excellent over evil. We must attempt to wash away all the evils in our hearts along side the colors and permit the color of affection to remain there forever and ever. this is often truth spirit of Holi.
Time for renewal
Holi may be a time to rejuvenate. the importance of holi festival has crossed many pages in history to arrive here, as a time to celebrate renewal. Every festival has its own traditions within the backdrop, but what really matters is that the spirit of festivity.
Colours speak louder than words sometimes . Holi goes beyond the custom of smearing colours on one another . It crosses the realm of traditional customs to succeed in new dimensions of the renewal and spirit. it is a time to make new bonds, reach bent others and forget the past worries. Holi Essay
Every year I embrace the occasion with growing enthusiasm that bridges over my colourful childhood memories, to succeed in me today, as a festival to celebrate. Besides exchanging sweets, colours and well-wishes, there’s something more thereto that I adore; it’s the spirit of unity, friendship and a will to forget the past and let this take over our lives. this is often what makes it my favorite festival.
